1.0 Client Disclosure & Agreement
Before we begin working together, please read this agreement and then sign and date it (or click the box to confirm that you have read and understood these Terms & Conditions for 1-1 Coaching sessions. This will let me know that you have read and that you understand what is written here. This form will ask you about your present condition for which you are seeking assistance as well as any other issues you might have. It also sets out the context in which you will get the outcome you want.
When you book your 1-1 sessions, you will be added to The Everyday Equestrian email list so that your booking information and any updates can be communicated effectively and efficiently. You will also receive my regular emails around rider mindset and confidence to inspire and support you. You may unsubscribe at any time from this email list, however please note that this may mean that you do not receive reminders and updates regarding your booked sessions.
2.0 What To Expect:
I have been trained and certified in Time Line TherapyTM at the Practitioner level and will be doing this technique along with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis where appropriate. The sessions will probably be different from what you might have expected. In total, you will not spend a lot of time talking about the problem, just gathering information about it. In fact, most of the sessions are about other things.
It is very important for me to discover the internal thought process of HOW you create the problem. That means that I am looking for your strategy, or how you structure the problem. Because my focus is on the structure that means that, once we discover it, I can move on and focus on having the problem disappear quickly.
Because of this, I may cut short your answers or even talk about your problem in ways that you have never considered. I may even ask you questions that you do not totally understand consciously in order for your Unconscious Mind to make the changes you want at the conscious level. It is important to do this so that I can reduce the time taken for the therapeutic process, and to make the experience even more effective.
All sessions will take place remotely via Zoom (which is free of charge for the client) and a link to join will be sent via email in advance of the session date. All 1-1 sessions must be booked and paid for in full prior to the start of any 1-1 session.
2.1 Session Process
I will begin with you telling me the problem. I will ask you for examples of the problem and other questions to discover HOW you do it in your head. I will also probe to discover the source of the problem – the precipitating event(s). Sometime before the end of this part of the session I will ask you what has to happen so you will know the problem is gone. The techniques used will be tailored to your specific requirements, and may include Neuro-Linguistic Programming, personal development and other coaching & psychological tools and strategies.
Depending on your requirements, we may include hypnotherapy as part of sessions, however please note that hypnotherapy is not suitable for individuals with epilepsy or other similar neurological conditions. Please note that it is the client’s responsibility to disclose any new or existing physical and/or psychological issues to the practitioner prior to the start of any coaching sessions. Should a client disclose information which could indicate that their personal safety is at risk, and/or a Safeguarding issue raised, the Practitioner is required to share this information with the relevant authorities.
2.2 After The Session
I may assign you some very specific tasks to do. If assigned these tasks are, absolutely, a fundamental part of the process. They may take up to several days or weeks to complete. The tasks are directly related to the circumstances that created the problem. You must do them. If you do not, then neither you nor I can predict the outcome. Certainly, any guarantees will not be valid if you do not do the tasking.
The second thing that is important is that you will need to stubbornly focus on what you want. The people who are the happiest over-all in life are those who recognise that you have a choice to focus on what you don’t want or what you do want. You can focus on negative emotions and things that make you feel bad, or you can focus on positive emotions and things that make you feel good. It is your choice. After the session, you must focus on what you want.
3.0 This is Coaching or Complementary Therapy
I am not a licensed GP, Psychologist or Psychiatrist. The services you receive are not regulated by a government body. The self-regulated holistic treatments and client-centred disciplines in which I am trained and in which I have experience include, consulting and coaching, Time Line TherapyⓇ techniques, Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and Hypnosis. I will always provide only those services in which I have been trained, and if I find that I cannot help you, I will refer you to someone who can assist you. During your sessions we will use one or more of the techniques outlined below.
3.1.1 Time Line Therapy(R) Techniques
The techniques are a process of active imagination where the client imagines floating above their Time Line and letting go of their negative emotions and/or limiting decisions (or limiting beliefs). Then the client is also asked to imagine creating events in their future that support their goals or outcomes. Time Line Therapy(R) techniques have demonstrated results in a broad variety of presenting problems. It is a powerful technique which allows clients to make long-lasting changes in a very rapid way. I am certified as a Time Line Therapy(R) Practitioner by the Time Line Therapy(R) Association.
3.1.2 Time Line Therapy(R) is a complementary approach
As a Time Line Therapy(R) Practitioner, I am not medically trained. That means that I am not a GP, psychiatrist or psychologist. (If you have consulted a GP with reference to this problem, please let me know. If you have been prescribed medication, please let me know). Nothing that happens when we meet should be construed as, nor should you believe that it is, a substitute for the advice of a medical professional.
3.1.3 Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP)
NLP is a model of communication – how we communicate to self and others – and how that communication creates and affects our behaviour. As a study, it is a synthesis of cognitive and behavioural philosophies which focus on the information coming in through the neurology (cognitive) and the programs we run inside our heads to produce the behaviours (behavioural) we do. I am certified as an NLP Practitioner by the American Board of Neuro Linguistic Programming.
This is the use of trance to make changes at the unconscious level. Hypnosis has been used to produce unconscious change with clients since 1843. I am certified as a Hypnotherapist by the American Board of Hypnotherapy. Since Hypnosis may be used during your session, for your safety you should make sure that you are totally wide awake before driving or doing any other activity that may require concentration.
I keep all information I receive from you confidential and do not disclose it to persons outside my company. All client information is kept strictly confidential and is for my internal use only.
All 1-1 sessions booked must be taken within 8 weeks of the date of payment. Payment is required in advance of all sessions via my online booking system only.
4.1 Cancellation & Refund Policy
Appointments cancelled within 24 hours of the 1-1 session will not be entitled to a refund. Cancellation prior to 24 hours will receive a full refund. For package bookings, all 3 sessions must be booked and used within 2 months of booking. No full or partial refunds will be available for any package bookings.
5.0 Your Choice, Your Responsibility
While, during the session, I will offer you advice and other ways of looking at your problem and its solutions for your consideration, you hereby agree that whatever we discuss is only my perspective and is not binding upon you, nor is it a prescription. If you want to discuss my suggestions with someone else, you should discuss them with a GP. It is your responsibility to communicate your results to me. My liability is limited to the amount paid to me for the agreed sessions.
