Who is not suitable for this programme?
🔴 If you don’t want to create & work towards challenging but achievable goals
🔴 If you want someone else to fix things for you
🔴 If you don’t want to do the homework & make the necessary changes to achieve your goals
🔴 If you’re not going to commit to finding the time to do the work behind the scenes
The Rider Development Programme will involve the following:
✅ Pre-course workbook to reflect on your current situation, long-term goals and skill analysis
✅ 3 x 60 minute, 1-1 coaching sessions (1 per month) via FaceTime/Skype/old-school telephone calls
✅ Written report via email after each session, with clear action points to help you reach your goal
✅ Monthly worksheets to help you record & monitor your progress
✅ Accountability – I’ll be checking in with you weekly via email/texts to keep you on track
✅ Access to me as your mentor and coach, with my full support & belief that you can achieve your equestrian goals
The programme will run over a 90-day period (1st July – 30th September 2019).
This is the first time I’ve offered this programme, and places are strictly limited so that I can give you the support you need. You do not need to be a current teaching client of mine, and your location does not matter either!
Enrolment is open for 1 WEEK only on Friday 28th June 2019, and will close at 5pm on Sunday 7th July. Once you enrol, you’ll receive your pre-programme workbook and we’ll agree a date/time for your first 1-1 session.
The cost of this Rider Development Programme is £150 (payable in full, in advance). This will be your only opportunity to do this programme at this price, as it is the first run through, the price will go up for future programmes!
❓Do I need to have my own horse?
No! This programme can help you whether you’re lucky enough to own a horse, borrow a friend’s horse, or ride at a riding school.
❓How much time will I have to devote to the programme?
The more time you spend doing the work, the better your chances of reaching your goals.
❓Isn’t this the same as riding lessons?
No, there are no riding lessons included in this programme. The 1-1 sessions are via FaceTime, Skype or telephone, and are your opportunity to create a strategy that you can implement to achieve your goals.
❓When will the 1-1 calls be?
It will be different for everyone, and we can agree a convenient time at the very start.
❓I’m not a competition rider, surely this doesn’t apply to me?
Goals do not have to be all about competition. It might be that you want to be able to hack out on your own with confidence. You might want to improve your position & application of aids in the saddle. Perhaps you want to pass a particular BHS exam. Maybe you would like to build your skills around a course of jumps. There are countless goals that riders can have; it’s certainly not just about competing.
❓I’m a real novice, how does this programme apply to me?
Congratulations! You’re at an ideal point to start setting yourself some targets! Start as you mean to go on…
❓What happens if my horse goes lame or if I can’t ride for some reason e.g. an injury?
Horses will be horses, and I know better than most how often they can get injured! However, there are plenty of things you can do to develop your riding in this scenario – you can work on your physical fitness, mindset and even get some training on other horses. If you are not able to ride your horse due to a new lameness, disease or disorder of any kind within the 1st month if the programme, you’ll be entitled to a 50% refund of the cost. If your horse is unable to be ridden for any of the reasons mentioned above during the 2nd or 3rd months, then you will not be entitled to a refund.
While I genuinely hope you stay fit & healthy, sometimes life happens. If you get injured or suffer with a new significant health issue or injury which prevents you from riding as normal prior to the end of the 1st month if the programme, you’ll be entitled to a 50% refund of the cost. If you are injured in the 2nd or 3rd months of the programme, then you will not be entitled to a refund.
